I’d been going in circles with the same calf issue for months — rest, stretch, back to square one. This was the first time someone actually explained why it kept happening. It wasn’t just treatment, it was a plan. That made the difference

“I’ve been running for 12 years and have had dozens of sports massages. This was different — my therapist actually found the source of the tightness I’d been trying to work out for months. Two sessions in and my times are back to where they were.”
-James Walker

“I’d been dealing with a tight hip flexor for weeks that was affecting my training. One session at We Fix Feet and I could feel the difference straight away. The therapist explained everything as they worked — I actually understood what had been going on.”
-Ryan Patel
★★★★★
“I don’t do sport but I’ve had chronic neck and upper back tension from sitting at a desk. I was nervous it would just be a generic massage but it wasn’t at all. Proper clinical work that actually targeted the problem. I’ll be back.”

COMMON QUESTIONS
Sports massage questions, answered
How is sports massage different to a regular massage?
Sports massage uses specific clinical techniques — deep tissue work, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy, myofascial release — applied with a clear purpose based on an assessment of your tissue and movement. A standard relaxation massage applies general pressure for wellbeing. The intent, technique, and result are different.
How many sessions will I need?
For general maintenance or performance recovery, many clients book every 2–4 weeks. For a specific injury or area of persistent tightness, 3–6 targeted sessions often resolve the problem. We’ll give you a realistic expectation at your first session — we don’t push unnecessary follow-ups.
Will it hurt?
Honest answer: some techniques involve firm pressure that can be uncomfortable, particularly on tight or injured tissue. We always work within your tolerance and communicate throughout. The discomfort should feel productive — ‘good pain’ — not sharp or unpleasant. You’re always in control.
Can I train the same day as a sports massage?
It’s generally best not to train hard immediately after a session. Your tissue needs a short window to respond to the treatment. We’ll advise on timing based on your training schedule — booking the day after a rest day or an easy session tends to work well.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Arrive hydrated. Wear or bring something you can move in — for lower body work, shorts are ideal; upper body, a vest or loose t-shirt. Let us know about any injuries, recent surgery, or medical conditions when you book.
Can you treat me if I’m currently injured?
Often yes, but it depends on the injury. Sports massage can be part of an active injury management plan, but we’ll assess first and won’t treat anything that shouldn’t be treated with manual therapy. If your injury would be better served by a different approach, we’ll tell you.
That tight muscle isn’t going to sort itself out.
Whether you’re a serious athlete or just carrying tension for too long, a proper sports massage will make a difference you’ll feel.
