Neurological Rehabilitation in Nottingham
Structured, one-to-one rehab for stroke, Parkinson's, MS, FND and other neurological conditions. NeuroMotion at We Fix Feet, Beeston.
60-minute assessment · No GP referral needed
People don't come to us because of a diagnosis. They come because they want to walk to the shops without worrying, get up from a chair without help, or keep up with the grandchildren. That's where we start.
NeuroMotion combines the NEUBIE® neuromuscular device with our Boost microgravity treadmill, blood flow restriction training and one-to-one strength and balance work. Everything is planned around what you want to be able to do.
We don't cure neurological conditions, and we're wary of anyone who says they can. What we do is give you a structured, measured way to keep working on strength, walking, balance and confidence, alongside the care you already have.
Every neurological condition affects movement differently. We start with what matters to you, assess your movement and develop an individual plan when rehabilitation is appropriate.
Stroke rehabilitation in Nottingham
Many people make good progress in the first months after a stroke and then find things slow down, often around the time NHS therapy ends. A slowdown isn't always the end of the road.
We look at weakness on one side, how you walk, your balance and your fatigue. Then we use NEUBIE during movement to work on the muscles that aren't switching on well, and the Boost treadmill so you can practise walking more safely. Your goals set the plan, whether that's going back to work, stairs, driving or a walk with the family.

Staying active is one of the most useful things you can do with Parkinson's. It's also one of the hardest to keep up on your own. Our programmes focus on walking, getting up and down, balance, posture and confidence. We work alongside your consultant and Parkinson's nurse and plan sessions around your medication times.
See our programmes and prices →Multiple sclerosis (MS) rehabilitation
MS affects people differently, and it can change from month to month. We build programmes around your energy levels and your goals, with a focus on walking, leg strength, balance and managing fatigue. Sessions are paced and adjusted on the day if you're having a harder time.
See our programmes and prices →Functional neurological disorder (FND) therapy
FND is real, and it can be frightening and frustrating. Movement-based rehab is one of the recommended ways of managing it. We focus on retraining movement in a calm, structured way, and we work alongside your neurologist or FND team.
See our programmes and prices →Motor neurone disease (MND)
With MND, our aim is to help you stay as strong, comfortable and mobile as possible for as long as possible, and to support you and your family with practical movement advice. We always work alongside your MND care team, and we're honest about what rehab can and can't do.
See our programmes and prices →Foot drop treatment
Foot drop makes it hard to lift the front of your foot when walking, which increases the risk of trips. It can follow a stroke, MS, nerve injury or back problems. As a podiatry-led clinic, we bring together gait analysis, footwear and orthotic advice, and NEUBIE work on the muscles that lift the foot.
See our programmes and prices →Peripheral neuropathy
Neuropathy can cause numbness, tingling, weakness and poor balance, particularly in the feet. Our podiatry team already sees many people with neuropathy. NeuroMotion adds strength and balance work and NEUBIE sessions focused on walking and steadiness.
See our programmes and prices →Brain injury rehabilitation
After a brain injury, recovery can be slow and uneven. We work on movement, balance, co-ordination and fatigue, at a pace that suits you, and we can coordinate with your existing therapy team.
See our programmes and prices →Spinal cord injury (incomplete)
For people with an incomplete spinal cord injury, we work on the movement you have, including strength, standing, transfers and walking where possible. We set goals together and measure them.
See our programmes and prices →Balance problems and falls
Whatever the cause, losing confidence in your balance can make your world smaller. We assess your strength, balance and walking, and build a personal plan to help you feel steadier on your feet.

What the evidence says
NEUBIE has been used in a number of published case reports, including people with stroke, MS, Parkinson's and spinal cord injury. These are reports of individual patients, not large clinical trials, so we don't quote their results as something you should expect.
We'll give you our honest view at your assessment and measure your own progress, rather than relying on anyone else's.
Frequently asked questions
We believe in honest answers, so you can make an informed decision about your care.
I've already had NHS physiotherapy. Is it worth trying again?
Often, yes. Many people we see have finished their NHS rehab and feel there's more to work on. An assessment will show whether that's realistic for you.
Am I too old?
Age alone doesn't rule anyone out. We look at what you can do now and what you'd like to do, and build from there.
Can my family come with me?
Yes. We encourage it. It helps to have someone else hear the plan and see the exercises.
Is NEUBIE safe with my condition?
We screen everyone before their first session. NEUBIE isn't suitable for people with a cardiac pacemaker or during pregnancy. Tell us about your medical history and medication, and we'll talk anything else through with you before you book.
Do I need my consultant's permission?
You don't need a referral. If you're under a consultant or specialist team, we'll ask for your permission to let them know you're seeing us.
