“I had a total hip replacement at 61. After six weeks with We Fix Feet I was walking the dog again. After twelve, I was back on the golf course. I genuinely didn’t expect that.”

WHO WE TREAT
We specialise in recovery after hip surgery

Total Hip Replacement
Muscles displaced during surgery need structured rehab to support the new joint.

Often younger, more active patients. Higher return-to-sport goals require targeted rehab.
03
Hip Labrum Repair
Precise loading progression to allow repaired tissue to heal and prevent re-tear.
04
Post-Fracture Rehabilitation
We build your programme around your surgical approach and weight-bearing restrictions.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Walk again without fear
from day one of rehab
“The biggest risk after hip surgery isn’t doing too much — it’s doing too little too late.
- Begin gait training within weight-bearing restrictions
- Eliminate fear of dislocation or re-injury

COMMON QUESTIONS
Hip rehab questions, answered
How soon after hip surgery can I start rehabilitation with you?
We typically begin seeing patients from 2–3 weeks post-surgery, once the wound is stable and your surgeon has cleared you for physiotherapy. The earlier you start structured rehab, the better your long-term outcome is likely to be — don’t wait until you feel ‘ready’.
Do I need to follow hip precautions during my sessions with you?
Absolutely. We design every session around your specific precautions (anterior vs. posterior approach, weight-bearing status). You will never be asked to do anything that puts your new hip at risk.
Do I need a GP or consultant referral to book?
No. You can self-refer directly by calling either clinic. If you’d like us to communicate with your surgical team during your recovery, we’re happy to do so — but it isn’t a requirement to begin.
Can I use your service alongside NHS physiotherapy?
Yes. Many patients use us to supplement NHS care, particularly for AlterG treadmill access, which is rarely available through standard NHS physio. We’ll work alongside any existing programme — not against it.
When can I expect to walk without a walking aid?
This varies by surgery type, age, and fitness. Many total hip replacement patients progress off crutches or a frame within 4–6 weeks with a structured programme. We’ll give you an honest, personalised estimate at your first appointment.
Is there anything I shouldn’t do before I start rehab with you?
Just bring any discharge paperwork or post-op instructions from your hospital, and let us know your surgical approach (anterior, posterior, lateral) if you know it. We’ll handle the rest.
