★★★★★
“I’d had a tight hamstring for four months. My GP told me to rest. One assessment with We Fix Feet identified the actual problem, and six sessions later I was back running properly. I wish I’d come sooner.”

COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about sports therapy, answered
What’s the difference between sports therapy and physiotherapy?
The two disciplines overlap significantly. In practice, sports therapists tend to use more hands-on manual treatment within each session and are trained specifically in musculoskeletal injury and sports rehabilitation. Physiotherapists often have a broader clinical scope. At We Fix Feet, the key difference you’ll notice is the amount of active, hands-on treatment time in every appointment.
Do I need to be sporty to use this service?
Not at all. ‘Sports therapy’ describes the clinical approach, not the type of patient. We regularly treat people with desk-job back pain, post-operative soft tissue issues, and general aches and pains. If you have a musculoskeletal problem, this service is relevant to you.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the nature and duration of the injury. Acute injuries (recent strains, sprains) often respond well in 3–6 sessions. Chronic or complex problems may take longer. We’ll give you a realistic estimate at your first assessment — we won’t string you along with indefinite treatment.
Can I keep training while I’m being treated?
In most cases, yes — with modifications. We believe in keeping active people active wherever it’s safe to do so. We’ll advise on load management, what to avoid temporarily, and what you can substitute. Complete rest is rarely the answer.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self-refer directly by calling either clinic. If your problem turns out to need GP or specialist input, we’ll let you know and can help signpost you.
What should I wear / bring to my first session?
Wear or bring something you can move in. For lower limb problems, shorts are ideal. For upper body issues, a vest or loose t-shirt. Bring any previous scan or imaging reports if you have them, and a list of any relevant medications.
That injury isn’t going to fix itself.
The longer a musculoskeletal problem is left, the more complex the fix becomes. The sooner you come in, the simpler and faster the recovery.
